Now it is your turn!

We are looking for the next generation of African startups disrupting industry sectors including FinTech, InsureTech, AgriTech, eCommerce, Digital Health, and CleanTech. Backed by anchor partner Telecel Group, the program is ideal for startups with a mobile tech focus. Additional corporate partners are lining up to engage with startups through pilots and Proof of Concepts projects that can open the doors for longer term commercial agreements.
During the Covid pandemic, SBC launched Accelerator Squared as a fully online platform that enables startups to access the complete library of content, group workshops, 1:1 mentoring, collaborative sessions with Entrepreneurs in Residence, and invite-only discussion forums with founders from around the globe. The remote accelerator concludes with an online Demo Day where startup founders pitch their disruptive solutions to a broad audience of media, investors, corporate partners, and industry stakeholders.
Applications will open soon and the 10 startups in the program will receive benefits valued at more than €500,000, including credits from AWS, Google Cloud Services, and many more. SBC also invests €15,000 in cash.

February, 2019 (Barcelona, Spain) – Telecel Group launched African Startup Initiative Program for young entrepreneurs in all areas of Technology related innovations at the Mobile World Congress 2019. Telecel Group aims to contribute in a meaningful way to the African community by supporting young individuals who strive to better their lives and the lives of their communities. The program exposes the selected startups to international communities and organizations, attracting international partners that can add value to the startups.

Formed in May 2021 within the Kyaka 2 refugee settlement in western Uganda, Munakyalo Agrofresh introduces innovative solutions to prevent food spoilage. Through solar-powered cold storage and preservation stations known as Cold Hives, smallholder farmers and market vendors benefit from an extended shelf life of perishable produce, from the usual two days to an impressive three weeks.

Since their establishment in 2022, 10mg Pharma has systematically addressed the challenges of managing chronic pain in Africa by pairing healthcare providers with financing partners, resulting in up to 15% in savings for patients.
